To expand their network, ChargePoint is partnering with a variety of organizations and businesses to install charging stations in strategic locations. For example, ChargePoint has partnered with major retailers such as Walmart and Target to install charging stations in their parking lots. They have also partnered with various cities, airports, and public transit agencies to install charging stations in high-traffic areas.
EVgo
EVgo is another major EV charging network operator in the US, with over 1,000 charging stations across the country. To expand their network, EVgo is focusing on building more fast-charging stations, which can provide a significant amount of charge in a short amount of time.
EVgo is partnering with major automakers such as GM, Nissan, and BMW to install fast-charging stations at dealership locations. They are also installing fast-charging stations along major highways and in other high-traffic areas to provide more convenient charging options for drivers.
Electrify America
Electrify America is a relatively new player in the EV charging network space, having been founded in 2016 as part of Volkswagen's settlement over the Dieselgate scandal. Electrify America operates over 600 charging stations across the US, with plans to install thousands more in the coming years.
To expand their network, Electrify America is focusing on building high-power charging stations that can provide up to 350 kW of power, which is significantly faster than most other charging stations on the market. They are also partnering with major retailers, public transit agencies, and other organizations to install charging stations in strategic locations.
Tesla Superchargers Network for all!
In addition to the continuing expansion of the Tesla Supercharger network (over 40,000 superchargers worldwide ) Tesla has recently launched a pilot program that allows drivers of other EV brands to charge at selected Tesla Superchargers, in keeping with their mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.
